Meet the Team

Dr. Hale has been a NM transplant for the last ten years and has worked for Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Services of NM as well as Thrive Healthcare of Albuquerque.

Cayla has been with Monte Vista Pet Lodge since its opening in 2018. Beginning her veterinary career in 2013 and has experience in general practice and exotic medicine.

Julie has joined the MVPL and Zia team offering hydrotherapy services! Her first business in swim therapy for dogs, K9 Bliss, was opened in 2013, but the dream started years before when she built and ran, Paw Prince Pet Resort & Spa in Land O Lakes, Fl.

Joining the Monte Vista team in early 2021, Kasandra loves all animals, big and small. She has 3 beautiful fur babies of her own and has experience with not only cats and dogs, but exotics as well. In her spare time, she enjoys playing video games, drawing, and watching movies.

Aby joined the Monte Vista Team in June 2022. She is a college student majoring in Earth and Planetary Science and loves working with animals. She enjoys spending time with her fur babies and ball python as well as playing Dungeons and Dragons.

MaKayla joined Monte Vista Pet Lodge in July of 2022. She enjoys taking care of all animals and is excited for a lifelong career in animal care. In her spare time Makayla enjoys playing video games, sewing, crafting, and playing with her own pets Cesar (seen here) and Ferris the ferret!

Monika joined the MVPL team in August of 2023. She earned her degree in Animal Science from UC Davis and has over a decade of experience working with both domestic animals and wildlife. Outside of work she enjoys reading, hiking, running, and birding.

Joining MVPL in 2019 Xavier has been in the animal care industry for 7 years and has 3 dogs and 2 cats of his own. In his spare time, he enjoys abstract painting, reading, watching shows, and baking.

Joining the MVPL team in summer of 2022, Mia has worked in the animal care industry for 7 years and enjoyed every second. In her spare time, she enjoys running, rock climbing, and reading.

Kilee joined the Monte Vista Pet Lodge team in June of 2023. She has always loved animals having 5 pups of her own. She hopes to further her career in the animal care industry and is currently enrolled in college classes. In her spare time she enjoys playing video games and crocheting.

Joining the MVPL team in 2023, Cinthia did not have any experience in the animal care industry and has enjoyed learning about animal behavior and care. She has liked it so much she is now enrolled at CNM for Veterinary Technology!
